Preparing – Part 1

Between working all week and other life demands, have been slowly plugging away the organizing of what to bring/not to bring.. Thankfully I’m a light packer and have done a few trips before on smaller bikes so the Ural should be a breeze!

Spent some time this winter organizing the room that has been dubbed “motorcycle room”. Β The before pics are pretty scary!!!

After Photos.. much better πŸ™‚

On another positive note, Luna was able to have a puppy play date tonight with my previous roommate’s dog Frankie! Β They sure wore each other out.. After the play date we went on a short ride on some trails near my house.

Rough Map Layout

Just an “idea” of the route I’ll be taking.. Β The focus on the trip is just to be able to explore and have fun. Β Route may change at any notice. Β I don’t want to push the bike too much as it’s slow and clunky so in theory no more than 350 miles per day max!

You can see some of the highlights I would like to visit.. Spending some time in the Rockies, trying my luck on Engineer’s Pass near Ouray, Yellow Stone National Park, Mt. Rushmore, and then passing through my long time favorite, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula! Β The Crossing over on the Mighty Mac before heading home.
